Synopsis

Former NBA and Major League Baseball chaplain to the Hispanic players of the New York Yankees Willie Alfonso shares his epic journey of faith and experiences mentoring professional athletes in On the Other Side of Fear.

In this powerful book, Willie inspires readers to embark on new beginnings, emphasizing that we were created to take bold actions and face challenges head-on. He gives the reader permission to let go of failures and past hurts to find freedom from fear and the peace that waits on the other side.

On the Other Side of Fear encourages readers to move from a state of hesitation and shame to one of dynamic action founded on deep trust in God, propelling them toward a brighter and more fulfilling future. Readers will discover how they can find true freedom in Christ in the areas of a personal faith, forgiveness, godly character, resilience, love, speaking up about hard things, and honor.

Willie’s held nothing back in sharing his personal journey to finding what’s on the other side of fear: God. He hopes readers will be encouraged to be open about their struggles so they can see what is blocking them from growing, finding healing, and surging into new beginnings.
