It also compliles letters from Craigslist readers who shared their passionate thoughts with me on living (or not living) in northern New Mexico.

This book is a conversation on the meaning of dwellings, living simply and the American West. May it provide you with useful insights in New Mexico's real estate, a "survival guide" if you will. Jes Márquez is a life long resident of the Land of Enchantment. She currently lives on the grid and is a graduate of the University of New Mexico. Definitely a dog person. In her spare time, Jes makes cowboy boots from scratch.

Christopher Márquez has over 25 years of professional experience in historic photography of the 19th and 20th centuries. He has an extensive background as a photography dealer including photography from around the world and the Southwest. Márquez also teaches a university class on the history of photography. Most recently he taught at the Santa Fe University of Art & Design. He holds a B.A. from the University from New Mexico.
