Synopsis

You read to your preschool child every day. You fill your home with books. You encourage and inspire. You're doing everything right. Yet, your child still may struggle to learn to read. Why? What can you do to ensure your child gets off to the right start? In this three-book series written for parents of preschoolers, reading specialist and award-winning author, Faith Borkowsky, and graphic artist, Sheryl Lynn Rosenstock Marcus, introduce a committed group of professionals in the community who provide a concerned parent with practical advice, specific recommendations, and their perspectives on language, literacy, and dyslexia. In the second of these beautifully illustrated graphic plays, parents will gain insight from a fictional preschool teacher about how reading should be taught at the earliest stages of schooling and will learn specific strategies to help build a strong foundation for reading success in their children. This book can serve as a roadmap for early childhood educators who want to get all of their students off to a great start. Look for all three titles in the "If Only I Would Have Known..." series!
