In this collection, you'll find references to poets like Gary Snyder (Japhy), musicians like John Coltrane, and commemorations of places like the desert southwest, the Rocky Mountains, Greenwich Village in New York City, the Adirondacks, the Puget Sound, the Austrian Alps, Paris, Florence, Corsica, and the Scottish heath. You'll also be granted a glimpse of some very intimate and emotional pieces related to romantic love, loss, and a deep, mystical connection with the life force and natural intelligence suffusing creation.

The illustrations, created during his high school years, reveal Hunter's refined technical detail, eye for shape, color, composition, and visual flow, and combine a variety of themes, media, and stylistic expressions. His pieces range from detailed pencil to water color, and from colorful montage to stark monochromatic abstractions.

This special project is a father-son collaboration, that celebrates their enduring love, their love of collaboration, and Hunter's high school graduation and transition into adulthood.

À propos des auteurs

Aaron William Perry is an author, social entrepreneur, consultant, mentor, and father. He is the founder of the Y on Earth Community, an educational non-profit organization dedicated to soil regeneration, climate action, community resilience, and culture of kindness. In addition to poetry, Aaron pens both fiction and non-fiction works, and is amazed at the power of the written and spoken word to convey myriad concepts and emotions, and to inspire the transformation of consciousness and culture. When he's not writing, Aaron can be found painting, hiking, hot-springing, traveling, visiting friends' biodynamic and permaculture farms, marveling at the gloaming, seeking out a soft patch of moss, and listening to the sweet and surreal messages of birdsong.

Indigo Hunter Chesnutt-Perry is a 17 year old graduate from Clayton High School in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born and spent the majority of his childhood and early teenage years in his hometown of Boulder, Colorado. Art is among the activities that he loves to practice to keep himself in a creative mindset, and explore ways to expand his talents and imagination. He is a young man of many passions including: basketball, weightlifting, drawing, film making, spending time with his friends and family, and immersing himself in the beauty of nature. Hunter plans to attend The University of Colorado - Boulder in the fall of 2020 to study architecture and environmental design while working as a personal trainer in hopes of cultivating his creativity while finding ways he can help other people and the planet.
