À propos des auteurs

Dr. B. M. Purī is the Serving Director of the Bhakti Vedanta Institute of Spiritual Culture and Science, a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit educational organization in Princeton, New Jersey, USA. He earned his undergraduate degree at Rutgers University and completed a Masters and Ph.D. in Theoretical Chemistry from Georgetown University in 1970. After completing postdoc work with the National Bureau of Standards in Washington D.C., Dr. Puri moved on to rigorous study and practice of the Bhagavat Vedantic philosophy and Bhakti yoga.He was one of the five founding charter members of the original Bhaktivedanta Institute in 1976, and became the Regional Director of the office in Juhu, Mumbai, India for a number of years. After diving deeper into the study of the philosophical relation between Bhagavat Vedanta and Hegel's Conceptual Realism, Dr. Puri returned to the United States in the 1990's. He opened the Princeton BVISCS in 2012.Some of his earlier work can be seen in the Bhaktivedanta Institute Bulletin series (1980-1982). An abundance of more recent work can be seen on ResearchGate and on PhilPeople (links under photo to the left). Dr. Puri is the inspiration behind the Sadhu-Sanga Google Group which has been an active forum for the discussion of consciousness studies among many scientists and academics since 2008, as well as the Science & Scientist International Conference Series since 2013.

Krishna Keshava Das is a researcher and assistant to Dr. B. Madhava Puri, Serving Director of the Bhakti Vedanta Institute of Spiritual Culture and Science (www.bviscs.org) in Princeton, New Jersey. Born with the legal name Christopher Rölke, he became fully dedicated to the path of Krishna consciousness (Bhakti-yoga) in 2018, and he received the name by which he now goes from his initiating Guru. This ongoing spiritual journey coincided with the last two years of Kris's undergraduate experience at Stockton University, where he majored in Liberal Studies and held double minors in Sustainability and Philosophy/Religion. Currently, Kris's work with the Princeton Bhakti Vedanta Institute includes organizing the BVI's annual Science & Scientist conference series, coordinating community events focused on ecstatic mantra meditation (kirtan) and distributing free sanctified vegetarian meals (prasadam), as well as publishing interdisciplinary academic articles that explore the origin, purpose, and evolution of matter, life, consciousness, and self from the perspectives of Eastern and Western wisdom. Krishna Keshava publishes personal reflections from his ongoing journey of self-discovery on the Awakening Self blog (awakeningself.substack.com).
