Synopsis

- Introduction -

"Softspots" - that term first came to mind some twenty-five years ago as a framework for explaining the unexplainable.

Through my years of training and practice, I continually ran into things that traditional psychology, spirituality, and worldly scientific insights could not explain.

Along the way I became determined to find a way to better understand and define these mysteries.

I kept notes and vowed to myself that I would not write the book until I personally understood and could do the things I was writing about.

Over time and many hurdles, I reached that point, and thereby earned permission to translate what I have learned.

What follows is less an attempt to demonstrate academic insights than to embrace practical ones. There are things shared here that will fluster the scholar as surely as they will delight the truth-seeker.

This book was a team effort. Every person I have seen through the many years of practice - literally thousands - has taught me as surely as I have worked to teach them.

Thus comes The SoftSpot. Two hundred and fifty plus pages of what I have come to understand about the complexities, challenges, and nuances of building a good life on a hard world. There is great hope in knowing it can be done.

I am grateful for the opportunity to explain the way to how.
