Synopsis

Love in the time of Lovecraft.

Teen love is hard, but breakups are harder. Recent high school grads Matt and Cassie face their last summer together before Matt leaves for college. He begs Cassie to join him.

But Cassie lives the life of a true crime podcast. Her mother was abducted a year earlier and remains missing. Police labelled her father the prime suspect despite her younger sister swearing, “monsters took mommy.”

Resigned to their fate. Matt plans a party to end all parties when their parents travel to the annual harvest fair to sell their crops. Though it breaks his heart, Matt hopes to say goodbye in style to the woman he loves before leaving for college.

Matt’s parents and Cassie’s father attend the annual fair together, trusting their kids not to get out of hand while they are gone. But the fertilizer is about to hit the fan. Once at the fair, omen after omen bordering on the supernatural, alert Matt and Cassie’s parents that their children are not safe. Worse, they suspect the danger relates to a decades-old cult murder in their town.

Back at the farm, the party to end all parties turns into a fight for survival when a sinkhole swallows the farmhouse. Trapped underground, the partygoers quickly realize the trials and tribulations of high school were nothing compared to facing off against demonic creatures hungry for human flesh.

The cult-sacrifice from yesteryear planted a blood seed on the land and the seed has borne fruit. It has all led to this. First comes the reaping, then comes the weeping, because evil grows on this farm and its roots run deep.
