Synopsis

In the third installment of the Caroline Case Mysteries, the newly married, beautiful, and independently wealthy Caroline Case Jones leaves Chicago and then New York for Europe on the luxury ship Isle de France in 1929. As Caroline and Hannibal travel to and across France, they use forensic techniques and deductive reasoning to solve a variety of perplexing murders. Chief Inspecteur Soucet from the French Gendarmerie Nationale gives Caroline a new nickname: ""la Chatte dans la Fenêtre,"" which translates to ""The Cat in the Window.

À propos de l'auteur

Frank L. Gertcher is a retired senior scientist and a current writer of murder-mysteries. Born in Clinton, Indiana, he and his father fished and trapped on the Wabash River for a major portion of our family income for many years. His teenage years were spent on a farm in Sullivan County. As an adult, his degrees include a BS in Electrical Engineering, an MS in Engineering Management, an MBA and a PhD in Economics. He served 23 years in the U.S. Air Force. He had another 22-year career, building weapon systems for the Department of Defense. His publications include eight books and a number of papers in scientific journals. I traveled to and lived in many places around the world, but he is still a Hoosier at heart. His wife Linda and he now live in the lovely Shell Point Retirement Community near Fort Myers, Florida.
