By working through this Math Workbook, a child will move along toward further abstraction by working with hands-on manipulatives and visuals, as well as inadvertently memorize math facts of addition and subtraction. Handwriting is more critical at this stage, but students are still welcome to use scribes (the teacher/parent) when needed.
