Synopsis

"There are those who might challenge the notion that there is no such thing as love at first sight, but Love Long Distance proves that wrong. From the moment that a young man named Bill, from Tennessee, and Cathy from New Hampshire, first met, they each knew that there would be no other. When he went to war in Vietnam, his grandparents became her support, and she theirs in this heartfelt tale dealing with the trials and tribulations of long and scary times apart and their faith that he would return."

Bill and Cathy profess their love to each other under a willow tree in Tennessee before he leaves her. The year is 1964. Enlisted in the United States Air Force, he will be stationed in Texas, then Florida, before leading a Commando unit in Vietnam. The future for them remains uncertain. What will happen while they're apart? Will Bill make it back alive, and if he does, will he return the same man? Will Cathy be the same woman he fell in love with? This historical novel shares the culture of this time in history, treacheries of war and, most of all, the power of faith and love. Filled with both humor and heartache, it will make you laugh and cry. Be sure to have some tissues nearby!
