Synopsis

KELSEY K. SATHER lives in Montana. Her stories explore the complexities of human-nature interconnections. Her debut novel, book one in the ANCIENT LANGUAGE OF THE EARTH series, BIRTH OF THE ANIMA, is a "feminist fantasy novel with a serious hook" (Booklist) and a finalist for the National Indie Excellence Award in fantasy. She attended the University of Utah on fellowship and graduated with an MA in Environmental Humanities. At the University of Montana, she received the Davidson Honors College Scholar Distinction in Creative Writing and Environmental Studies.After teaching at the university level, Kelsey co-managed a writers' collective, where she facilitated creative writing workshops for all ages. Nowadays, in addition to writing her series, she directs the Biocene Foundation, providing grants for the individuals and organizations enacting solutions to the ecological crisis and sharing their narratives of joy and perseverance. At the core of her vocation as an author and conservationist is the hopeful intention to help foster deeper connections between people and the natural world.
