Synopsis

Mary. L. Routh-Brodie, retired schoolteacher, traded her red pencil for a computer, and her pupils for you readers. For ten years, she wrote a popular newspaper column while working on her novels. The setting and some events are lifted from childhood experiences during WWII, but Laura Ann, Bobby, Don, Ruth and Arnie fill the pages with their own stories. When not writing, Mary quilts for her grandkids, refills a seed kitchen for her feathered friends, terrorizes the local trout population, and hangs out at the county library.
