À propos des auteurs

Taylor Tomu is a doctoral student at The Ohio State University who is focused on medical anthropology. She is interested in questions that uncover African American's experiences with the health care system, as well as the development and implementation of community-based programs to assist underserved populations. Her doctoral research studies the effects structural racism has on African American Women's experiences with diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of COVID-19. This pandemic continues to disproportionally affect black people due to structural racism and inequities that have persisted for decades. Such data are critical for developing effective public health messaging aimed at reducing health inequities.
