Dr. Amy Sander Montanez has been inprivate practice since 1988. She holds aMaster's Degree in Counseling from Clemson University and a D.Min. in Spiritual Forma-tion from Graduate Theological Institute. In2013, Amy's first book, Moment to Moment: The Transformative Power of Everyday Life, was awarded Spirituality and Health's Top100 books of the year. Amy works with all aspects of women's issues, emerging adults, couples and families, and grief. She is known for herwork with clergy of all denominations and seminarians. Outside ofthe office she loves to cook and entertain, play the piano, listen to livemusic, dance, read, and gather with friends and family. Dr. Rhea Ann Merck has worked in the fieldof mental health since 1984. She earned herM.S. and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychologyfrom the University of North Texas. Rhea hasworked in a variety of clinical settings withadults, emerging adults, teens, couples, andfamilies. Since 1996, she has maintained aprivate practice in Columbia SC, and is alsoemployed with the Athletic Department at the University of SouthCarolina. Previously, as an Instructor in Psychology, she was honoredwith the UofSC College of Arts and Sciences Undergraduate TeachingAward in 2019-2020. Rhea is the mother of two fine humans, Caitlinand Rebekah.
