About the Author
Dr. Andy Laurie, MD, is a physician, pastor, husband, father, grandfather and a man who has leaned on the power of God even during the darkest of times. A board-certified radiologist trained at UC San Diego and the University of Arizona, Dr. Laurie spent nearly thirty years practicing emergency radiology. A field where every minute matters and every life counts.
Alongside his medical career, he answered a second calling, serving as a pastor at The Bridge Christian Church in Tucson, Arizona, where he has faithfully shepherded others for more than two decades. During much of this time, Dr. Laurie has battled a debilitating autonomic nervous system disorder. A chronic illness that changed the course of his life and ultimately led to early retirement from medicine. This contrast of doctor and patient, pastor and sufferer, gives Andy a rare perspective. He knows both sides of pain: the clinical charts and the lived experience. He has seen what it means to have health, and what it costs to lose it. Most importantly, he has discovered the prescriptions that not only carry you through dark skies but actually help turn them blue again. Andy has been married to his wife, Cyndi, since 1991, and together they have raised four children. They make their home in Tucson, where their beloved dogs keep them laughing, their grandkids keep them smiling, and their faith keeps them steady.
