"Jackson Jones, you are the one," the red deer announces.
Jackson wonders, "The one what?"
To everyone in Waddyshire in 1846, fifteen-year-old Jackson Jones could do anything. But Jackson believes no one notices his creativity and hard work. When the evil Shaman-fey blasts icy wind across the heath, it threatens to freeze the village and all those in it. Jackson and his friend Becky set out to discover what the deer means and save their village. Will the music from his golden horn be strong enough to stop the Shaman? Is Jackson Jones the one?

Doris Gaines Rapp, Ph.D., author, psychologist, educator, and speaker, has written over a dozen novels and several non-fiction books. Her books are loved by all those who read them. Doris enjoys painting and drawing, including the covers of three of her books and the interior pages of one. She has sung for many groups and has written songs she shares with others. Readers continue to ask for additional books in her series, Tucker McBride. They love the characters, the history, and the tales of adventure and antics. While still a full-time psychologist, Doris directed the counseling centers at Taylor University and then Bethel University. She has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in psychology at local universities. Twenty years after she and her husband raised their first family, they adopted two little girls. Now that all six children have filled the world around them, the Rapps enjoy their small-town life. Doris loves the stories that burst forth from her computer, and Bill still serves as a pastor and Chaplin. Her desire for all of you - I hope you live all of your life.
