"The Keep" is the graphic novel of the classic historical horror novel by F. Paul Wilson. It is book one in Wilson's Adversary Cycle.
The keep had stood empty in the Transylvanian Alps for 500 years. No one who knew who built it, or why. But on the eve of World War II, German soldiers move in and awaken something--something hungry... something as merciless as the SS commandos accompanying them.
Now you can re-live F. Paul Wilson’s unforgettable story in this 40th Anniversary Edition graphic novel with an all-new cover by Matthew Dow Smith.

F. PAUL WILSON is the award-winning, bestselling author of 70 books and nearly one hundred short stories spanning science fiction, horror, adventure, medical thrillers, and virtually everything between. Six of his novels have appeared on the New York Times Bestsellers List. The Tomb received the Porgie Award from The West Coast Review of Books; Wheels Within Wheels won the first Prometheus Award. His novella “Aftershock” won a Stoker Award. He was voted Grand Master by the World Horror Convention and received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Horror Writers of America. He is listed in the 50th anniversary edition of Who's Who in America and received the prestigious Inkpot Award from the San Diego Comic-Con.
In 1983 Paramount rendered his novel The Keep into a visually striking but otherwise incomprehensible movie with screenplay and direction by Michael Mann.
The Tomb has spent over 25 years in development hell at Beacon Films as “Repairman Jack.” The plan is to make Repairman Jack a franchise character. Godot might arrive sooner.
More than 9 million copies of his books are in print in the United States, and his work has been translated into 24 languages. He also has written for the stage, screen, comic books, and interactive media. The recent Other Sandboxes collects the numerous pastiches he has written over the years, and The Chronicles of F is a three-volume, 50-year retrospective on his short fiction.
His latest novel is Double Threat. Paul resides at the Jersey Shore and can be found on the Web at www.repairmanjack.com
