Synopsis
Building on his Middle School Science Bowl Practice Questions - Volume 1, the author has created a Volume 2 to help students and coaches prepare for the elimination rounds of the National Science Bowl. This book, like its predecessor, is designed to give teams an edge over their competitors. This book has 10 full rounds of practice questions in increasing difficulty, with each round having 50 questions (25 toss up and 25 bonus questions.) Formatting like the official DOE Science Bowl questions, the questions are equally distributed over the topic areas of Physical Science, Life Science, Earth and Space Science, Math, and Energy.
Author is quite familiar with Science Bowl, having participated in it since his sixth-grade year. His team placed ninth and fifth at the National Science Bowl competition in his seventh and eighth grade years, respectively. He has also captained the winning team in his region in his freshman and sophomore years. Alor also placed second in the Southern California MathCounts countdown round, proving his skills in competitions involving buzzers. Above all, Author hopes that competitors and coaches can have a resource that he himself wishes he had access to when preparing for the National Science Bowl in middle school.
