Synopsis

As an infant, Cara Jo Sanderson was abandoned at a local hospital and spent her childhood moving from one foster home to another, constantly yearning for a place to belong. That longing for a real family and the mother who left her behind became a shadow of sadness in her life. Her wish was for her mother to return and explain why she had given her away. But years go by, and no family comes forth to claim her.
Everything changes the day Cara meets TJ, a kindhearted boy she encounters in Lindley Park. Inviting her to climb the old tree with him, TJ offers Cara a glimpse of the friendship and trust she always craved. In the branches of that tree, the two share secrets and form a bond that eases both of their troubles. But when circumstances separate them, Cara is left with a lingering emptiness, always wondering if TJ still thinks of her.
Years later, after being adopted by the Saunders family and finding solace in the love of her new home, Cara never forgets the boy who once changed her life. Now a young woman, she sets out to discover if the connection they shared was meant to bring them back together.
In this heartfelt story of love, resilience, and destiny, The Tree at Lindley Park weaves a tale of two people whose lives are intertwined by fate and the enduring power of a childhood promise, and that family always comes first.
