Synopsis

From Slavery to Freedom: My Journey Through Trauma, Addiction, and the Wilderness

Exposure to pornography at a very young age and sexual abuse at fourteen shattered my childhood and nearly destroyed my life. For decades, I lived in a silent war, battling shame, addiction, and unrelenting pain that followed me into adulthood. By the time I turned forty, the weight of it all had become unbearable. I knew I couldn’t keep going the way I was. I needed real help. And I’m far from alone.

We all carry stories. Some are quieter than others, but every story matters. This is mine, honest, and real.

So many of us ask the same desperate questions:

  • Why do adults stay trapped in childhood trauma?
  • Why does early exposure to pornography so often ruin a child’s future?
  • Why is early intervention critical?
  • Why do parents miss the warning signs?
  • Why does the pain of sexual abuse last a lifetime?
  • And most important of all, why does Jesus care?

In this book, I invite you to walk with me through my story, mirrored against the powerful journey of the Israelites. Just as they moved from slavery in Egypt, through the wilderness, and into the Promised Land, I went from bondage to addiction, shame, and despair, to the freedom I had longed for my entire life.

This is a story about what most people never talk about: the hidden addictions, the years of wandering, resentment, and the silent suffering. But it’s also a story of hope. The same God who led the Israelites is the same God who led me out of my personal wilderness.

Freedom is possible. I found it. And it can be yours too.
