Edna Lambourne was born in 1933 and now aged 91 she has written her autobiography, and, as she says, people can hardly believe how different the world she grew up in is from today's world. As a girl her house had no running water, no mains sewage, no electricity and no gas - and growing up in rural Oxfordshire was almost to be part of a different breed.
Edna's story is of an indomitable person who lived through the Second World War, who got on with life, married, had children and grandchildren, always worked and despite her husband, Gordon, dying so many years ago, looks back on their time together with such pleasure.
Edna's story will amaze modern readers - and through it all and to this day Edna remains a resourceful person who is proud to say that she has had a really happy life.
At Bite-Sized Books, we are so proud to publish her autobiography - and to share her 90+ years with the world.
