Miranda Lemon is a cat-knitter, cow-painter and rag-mouse maker who dropped out of art college when she was nineteen years old. One of her knitted cats - not always the same one - accompanies her wherever she goes, fulfilling a childhood wish to always bring at least one toy with her. Her love of reading, tireless creativity and child-like imagination inevitably led her to invent stories which delight other children.
