FOCUSING ON WHAT YOU HAVE - When lightning strikes twice, ruminating over what you’ve lost is easy. We all do it. I, Kevin Frost, did it over and over again. Then it happened, I realized life is about appreciating what we have and using that to move forward. In my book, I recount valuable lessons that helped me focus on what I had even after losing my hearing and then my sight.

MY PLEDGE TO CHARITY - The wonderful community at Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind introduced me to two angels, Nemo and Lewis, who have been loyal guides and cherished family members. I appreciate these amazing people at CGBD, and part of the proceeds from this book will be donated to them so they can help others like me. Hello friend. My name is Kevin Frost, and I am a Deaf, Blind Champion. I live my life despite my disabilities, and we all know life can be a challenge, but so what? Are you going to sit around all day and dwell on what you can’t do or don’t have, or are you going to find a way to keep the dream alive?

This book is my reflection on a fantastic ride it has been. A bumpy one? Yes. That does not make it any less fantastic. Fantastic things happen to all of us, good and bad. It is what we do in life every day that is important. In my life, saying never is not an option.

I am a multi-sport world champion that has competed against able bodied persons in all of my disciplines, and have the gold medals and world records to prove it. When I was told I could not speed skate, I proved them wrong. I did it rowing, track, tandem cycling, and now I have set my sites on blind golf. If I can do it, so can you. Regardless of your age, your challenges – if you have the will, take action, and stay positive life becomes a beautiful thing. Cherish each day.
