Synopsis

The fate of ancient knowledge and power is in peril. For centuries, witches have held this age-old knowledge, passing it from one generation to the next, and ensuring the balance of the world. But when King Saul of Israel condemns magic as malevolent and mercilessly slaughters most of the witches, the Witch of Endor faces a grim reality; there is no one left to inherit the sacred wisdom. With her own death foretold and approaching, she has no choice but to perform a ritual to shift the knowledge to a chosen tree.

Stalked by a relentless sorcerer who covets this knowledge, the Witch flees to the tree she has nurtured for decades. There, she relinquishes her very essence, intertwining her life force with the ancient tree, ensuring the balance of the world. Her selfless act on a warm night long ago, reverberates across time as the Daughters of Endor continue to protect the chosen tree, while witches of lesser powers guard the remaining trees.

Through the centuries, the sorcerer, Lucian, remains determined to seize the knowledge and its endless power. To do so, he strikes a deal with a demon. He lurks in the shadows, patiently scheming and manipulating himself into a position where he can achieve his goal.

Rowan awakens to find herself in a foreign land and years beyond her own time. Powers she's fearfully hidden her entire life now become the one thing that can save her and those she comes to care for. Bidden with becoming the new guardian of the tree, she struggles to understand herself, her magick, and the feelings she has for the handsome, but surly, Duncan.

As the current guardian, Juniper, weakens with a mysterious ailment, Rowan and Duncan must work together to transition the power of the tree from Juniper to Rowan without mishap. But Lucian has never given up his driving desire and will do everything possible to gain control of the invaluable knowledge and the power it can bring him.

This tale of witches, magick, and destiny will keep you enthralled and looking for the next book in The Witch Tree trilogy.

A propos du livre

À propos de l'auteur

Books have fueled my imagination since reading the Black Stallion series when I was younger. Never thinking that I could actually write a book, I sat down and began writing anyway. I now have multiple published books and more on the way. All of them with a theme of myths, legends, romance, or fantasy.

I am fortunate enough to live on a farm filled with animals to love and care for. Every morning my dogs, cats, goats, and horses greet me at the barnyard. Spending time with them helps motivates me to write.

I also design book covers for various genres. Premade covers are on my website for sale, but I also do custom covers.
