Synopsis

No one has ever died falling off the balcony of the Banff Springs Hotel...until now.

Guests gather at the luxurious Banff Springs Hotel, waiting to celebrate the illustrious career of Finn Tanberg, Evie Valentine’s favorite law professor. The wine is uncorked, the food is waiting to be served, everything is perfect. There’s just one snag: the guest of honour is a no-show.

Not everyone wishes Finn good fortune. In fact, someone wants him dead. When the celebration goes horribly wrong, Evie is determined to find out who killed Finn and why. Her search takes her from the hushed halls of academia and the Tyrell Museum to the gritty depths of an ammonite mine and the Dark Web.

Just as she’s getting close a flood threatens to engulf the city. Will Evie finds the answers she seeks before she runs out of time?

Fortune Favors the Dead is the third in the Evie Valentine mystery series. Its sparkling prose and page-turning plot delivers exactly what readers have come to expect from this best-selling author.
