Synopsis

Cordelia Tanner has it all: a fabulous life in London, an enviable shoe collection, and a gift for turning chaos into champagne-fuelled triumph.

When Cordelia and her twin brother Rex unleash Footloose — a dazzling holographic shoe technology that lets wearers flaunt jaw-dropping designs — the traditional footwear industry goes into meltdown. Furious and humiliated, bombastic shoe tycoon Richard Nailer vows revenge on the brilliant minds who dared to jeopardise his footwear empire.
But Cordelia has more than killer style on her side.

She possesses an extraordinary ability she calls psychomatricks — the power to glimpse moments from a person’s life simply by touching something they once owned. For Cordelia, this means slipping into the past through her treasured collection of shoes worn by the most glamorous figures in history.

When she discovers that her enigmatic friend Elodie l’Archambeau shares the same uncanny gift, the two women are swept into sumptuous historical adventures where shoes unlock secrets, friendships deepen, and destiny sparkles.
As Nailer’s schemes close in, Cordelia must decide how far she’ll go to protect her family, her friends, and the joyful world she’s created — all without losing her impeccable sense of fun.

Witty, glamorous, and gloriously feel-good, Sole Brethren: If the Shoe Fits is the first novel in a sparkling new series celebrating friendship, fashion, magic, and the irresistible power of fabulous footwear.

‘Sole Brethren: If The Shoe Fits’ was included in Shelf Media’s 100 Most Notable Independently Published Books 2023 and received this glowing review from Gail Willumsen three-time Emmy winning writer and film maker.

'B. A. Summer very skilfully created a beautiful and gorgeous characters. Summer's witty dialogue and vivid description make this book engaging and fun to read.

'Sole Brethren is a delightful, light-hearted fantasy with wonderfully quirky characters. The fantasy element and adventure were enjoyable but for me the greatest reward was the support and affection seen among the characters - both born-to and found family. This passage near the conclusion of B.A.'s tale resonates and fits beautifully with my life experience.

Mike Worner, USA
