Synopsis

You only discover what dangers you can overcome when you're tested to the limit...

Tudor England

When Mary Fox is ordered to marry a sadistic older man, she decides instead to strike out on her own. As a woman in a man's world, no-one expects her to survive, but Mary is determined to prove them wrong.

Challenged to return the Broken Sword talisman and so break a centuries-old curse, she soon learns how to scheme, fight and outwit those who would drag her back to a life of servitude.

And in doing so, she becomes more than a match for any man.

A propos du livre

À propos de l'auteur

Jonathan Posner is a novelist based in the UK, with a passion for the action and adventure to be found in Tudor England. He has always been captivated by Tudor history, and has also been a lifelong fan of action-adventure novels. So when he decided to write a novel himself, it had to be the kind of adventure he loves to read; one with plenty of action, danger and suspense. And, of course it had to be set in Tudor England, with a time-travelling heroine finding herself thrown into the deep end of this fascinating historical era. The result was The Witchfinder's Well, the first part of the trilogy (this book, The Alchemist's Arms is part 2). Book 3, The Sovereign's Secret, is due for publication in Summer 2022. Jonathan has also written The Broken Sword - the first of a series of adventures featuring an unconventional Tudor heroine called Mary Fox. More books about Mary's adventures are also planned.Jonathan's other works include a book of short stories called Once Upon an Ending, a one-act play called Private Eyes, as well as book and lyrics for three Musicals - Spirit of History which premiered in Old Windsor, Hot, Mean & Green, which premiered at the Rhoda McGaw Theatre in Woking, and A Fine Time for Wine, which also premiered in Old Windsor.Jonathan is the father of two adult sons and lives in Exeter, UK. When not writing he is a regular presenter on local radio.
