Andrew Bain is an award-winning travel writer, specializing in outdoor adventure, who can usually be found cycling when he should be working. He's the author of Headwinds (2003, Hardie Grant Books), the story of his 20,000-kilometre bike ride around Australia, and is also the author of Where to Ride Tasmania and Lonely Planet's Cycling Australia guidebook. He continues to write stories on cycling around the world for various publications, including Lonely Planet's Epic Bike Rides of the World, Australian Geographic Adventure and The Age/Sydney Morning Herald 'Traveller' lift-out.
