Synopsis

Thought-provoking, quirky and very funny, this story offers a fresh take on the tale of Noah's Ark, with an environmental twist and insight into the dynamics between two very different brothers. Will appeal especially to all those children who are familiar with sibling rivalry! It is not well known that Noah had a younger brother. But he did and his name was Neil. Noah and Neil were very different. Noah discussed business and economics. Neil hummed songs about peace. Noah brokered deals with a tense frown, while Neil wore his hair long and chatted dreamily to pot plants. So when it started to rain for forty days and forty nights and something had to be done, the two brothers dealt with it in very different ways…

À propos de l'auteur

KIM KANE was born in London in a bed bequeathed by Wordsworth for '.a writer, a dancer or a poet'. Despite this auspicious beginning, she went on to practise law. Kim is a mother/stepmother of four children. She lives among vats of stewed pear, teetering piles of nappies and lots of tiny left shoes in a house near the beach. Kim writes to have some modicum of control in an otherwise highly chaotic life.SUE DeGENNARO studied film at uni, learnt to weld and draw at art school, then became an aerialist and performance artist. She now lives in Melbourne with her two girls, where her days are spent writing stories of things that make her giggle. She received an Australian Society of Authors mentorship in 2007, and has been shortlisted for the Children's Book Council of Australia Crichton Award 2010. Her most recent books include The Princess and the Packet of Frozen Peas with Tony Wilson (Notable Book, CBCA Awards 2010) and The Tomorrow Book with Jackie French.
