Synopsis

From the award-winning author Sally Morrison, Window Gods invites us into the vivid, cornucopian mind of a twenty-first century artist. In the midst of a life where she is tugged in myriad directions by responsibilities to her ancient mother and late sister s daughter Isobel is rammed sideways. Her half sister has brought a lawsuit against her, her peers are criticising her for exposing a story of vandalism from years before, and her brother-in-law has been diagnosed with cancer.

Then her son disappears. In a modern-day Middlemarch, Isobel sets off to Afghanistan in search of her missing child, while bushfires spark on her home horizon.
