Synopsis

If you read this book, you will become a much better leader - guaranteed.

Skilled managers and leaders are in great demand. If you learn what is inside this book, people will want to hire you, or keep you. Most management and leadership books and courses teach you 'about' management and leadership, this book will teach you 'how' to manage and lead effectively, and do it fast.

We live in a turbulent time. The rapid rise of AI and economic uncertainty is impacting everyone's job security.
Take control of your career, don't leave it to chance, Step Up, Transform Your Career and Change Your Life.

There has never been more opportunity or demand for skilled managers and leaders across the globe than right now. Employers and recruiters everywhere are searching for people with the right skills and this book will allow you to unlock your potential.

The rules have changed and in the modern workplace it is no longer the case that your qualifications determine how far or how high you can go. It is all about having the right skills and knowing how to use them, they are all in this easy-to-read book.

By far the single biggest jump of my career as a leader was the first one, from 'doing' to managing and leading. This leap was a complete career change requiring an entirely new set of skills that I was unprepared for. I call these skills 'The Art of Managership', and this book is the practical guidebook that teaches you these skills and gives you all the knowledge you need, with tips on how to thrive as a manager and leader in the modern workplace.

This book is not management theory or how MacDonalds did this in the 80's. It is what I have learned as a 'hands on' manager, leader, and trainer of leaders at all levels from the shop floor to the C suite.

To produce this book, I interviewed CEOs, General Managers, HR Managers, corporate trainers and others who are at the coal face of hiring, motivating and training new managers and leaders every day, telling it straight on what they look for, the skills you need and how to improve.

Hard skills, soft skills, business skills, process skills what are they? How do you communicate effectively, assess people, or do a SWOTA analysis, how do you successfully recruit the right person, financial management, communication styles, mental fitness, time management. There are secrets, tips and techniques to all of these that I have learned from working with people who are exceptional leaders and use these every day.

This book will show you how to put them to work as soon as you read them.

There are real case studies of successes and failures, some are mine, some I have observed and admired, some I have cleaned up.

You will learn how to assess your own strengths and weaknesses and how to fix the gaps, what tools to use and how to plan your career journey.

Whether you are a new manager looking for a guide, someone searching for their way into a career in management, or a more experienced leader who needs to sharpen their skills, the practical techniques, tips and guidance in this book will make you a better manager and leader.
