After leaving the diocesan seminary of San Agustin, Mateo Aragon believes he has made the right choice. Nestled in the mountains of Santa Monica with the Missionaries of the Word, he hopes for peace, clarity, and a fresh start. But the ghosts of his past are relentless. Whispers of Fr. Alvarez and the lingering presence of Miss Lolita haunt him, reminding him that San Agustin's scars cannot be erased by distance alone.
His fragile calm is shattered during the grand Christmas celebration, when Fr. Alvarez and the diocesan choir suddenly appear in the seminary auditorium-bringing threats that make Mateo's burdens nearly unbearable.
