Synopsis

This collection can be used both as a source for actors and students, or as a primer on diverse Canadian theatre and an entry point into new works. Refractions: Scenes includes work by Michaela di Cesare, Rob Salerno, Lisa Codrington, Patti Flather, Ciarán Myers, Reneltta Arluk, Colleen Murphy, Deidre Walton, David Yee, and many more.

The works are about ten minutes in length each, containing 3-7 characters.

À propos de l?auteur

Donna-Michelle St. Bernard is an emcee, playwright, and arts administrator. Her work has been recognized with a SATAward nomination, the Herman Voaden Playwriting Award, the Enbridge playRites Award, a Dora Mavor Moore Award for Outstanding New Play, and two nominations for the Governor General's Literary Award for Drama.

Yvette Nolan is a playwright, dramaturg, and director. She has been the writer-in-residence at Brandon University, Mount Royal College, and the Saskatoon Public Library, as well as playwright-in-residence at the National Arts Centre. Yvette was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, to an Algonquin mother and an Irish immigrant father. She is based in Saskatchewan.
