Synopsis

An evocative novel about the life and times of Canadian icon Terry Fox ...

A one-legged young man, Terry Fox, has set himself the task of running a marathon a day across the length of Canada, the second largest country in the world, in aid of cancer research.

Why?

Because the children are crying with pain in the cancer wards and somewhere the hurting must stop....

This evocative novel explores the thoughts, dreams, and fears of Terry Fox as he embarks upon his Marathon of Hope. It is the latest entry in a project undertaken by author John Passfield to explore the concepts of form and meaning in the novel, as well as the novel's place as a form of expression in the 21st century. More information about this endeavour is available on the author's website at www.johnpassfield.ca.
