Synopsis

Who is your Anne? Join ten of Canada's top young adult fiction writers as they set Canada's favourite red-haired orphan, Anne Shirley, on brand new adventures. With its futuristic settings, cybernetic beings, ghosts, mysterious books and boxes, and racial and sexual diversity in its cast of characters, The Annethology offers serious "scope for the imagination" for all readers. 2024 marks the 150th anniversary of L.M. Montgomery's birth and the 30th anniversary of Acorn Press, Prince Edward Island's longest-running traditional publishing house. What better way to celebrate these milestones than publishing a collection of stories inspired by the Island's (and one of Canada's) most beloved authors? Sure to include something for everyone, this is a must-have collection for Anne of Green Gables fans. A propos du livre

À propos des auteurs

Judith Graves is an award-winning young adult fiction writer (Exposed and Infiltrate: Retribution Series with Orca Book Publishers), as well as a screenwriter and illustrator. A Tale of Two Kitties, her debut picture book, was published by Acorn Press. A firm believer that fiction can be action-packed, sassy, and yet hit the right emotional notes, Judith writes stories with attitude. As a child, Judith lived in Summerside when her father was in the Forces. It was a sad day when he was posted and the family moved to Alberta. She may have convinced her husband to have an Anne of Green Gables themed wedding. The Island kept calling to Judith, and now, many years later, she's back and thrilled to be living in Summerside with her husband and sassy fur babies.

Glitterature writer Paul Coccia is the author of Cub, The Player, I Got You Babe, Leon Levels Up, and On The Line (co-authored with Eric Walters). Paul has a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia. You can often find him baking in his Toronto kitchen with his three dogs, nephew, and a parrot who loves spaghetti and French fries. Follow him @pauljcoccia on Instagram and Twitter.

Guyanese-Canadian Natasha Deen is a best-selling author and a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal. Natasha's novels include In the Key of Nira Ghani (Amy Mather Teen Book Award), Spooky Sleuths: The Ghost Tree (School Library Journal Best Books of 2022). Her most recent YA title, The Signs and Wonders of Tuna Rashad was a Globe & Mail's Top 100 Books for 2022. When she's not writing, she teaches Introduction to Children's Writing with the University of Toronto's SCS and spends an inordinate amount of time trying to convince her pets that she's the boss of the house. Shari Green is an award-winning author of novels in verse. As a child, Shari fell in love with the original Anne, and is still so enamoured with the story that it features in one of her own books, Macy McMillan and the Rainbow Goddess. Shari and her husband spent the first years of their marriage in a mining camp on the Silver Trail and now live on Vancouver Island, BC, on the traditional territory of the Laich-Kwil-Tach peoples. Find her online at www.sharigreen.com (Instagram @shari_green).

Susie Moloney is an award-winning writer of novels, short fiction, television, and film. A proud Elmwood girl who made good, she tends to write about the lesser blessed, and the literally and figuratively haunted. Her new film Romi is on the festival circuit, and she's writing a collection of short fiction based on the summer her mom died. She's got a great dog named Scrappy, who bites. Petter beware!
