Sinister criminal elements. A successful but battered company. Will a man who’s betrayed them both decide their fates?
Howard Knight is running for his life. After infiltrating a multinational corporation for the crime lord he serves, the daring man knows his latest corporate blunder has made him a target for the FBI and for his unscrupulous patron. And with a portfolio full of flawed personal choices, he decides that fleeing through South America’s dangerous jungles will be less risky than facing the powerful people he’s wronged.
Determined to endure despite the odds, Howard’s road forward is complicated by a new awareness of how much harm his shady practices have caused. But as the noose tightens around him and violent new players emerge, he's painfully aware the information he carries in his mind could make or break a renewed attempt at a takeover.
In a rigged game with billions at stake, can he strategize his way to survival?

He has traveled extensively throughout Canada, the USA, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe, and has lived and worked in Europe- - spearheading the creation of a new business unit for a German bank. McGugan has worked in a supermarket, sold appliances, distributed motorcycles, launched an automobile dealer network, and provided financing to help businesses grow. Every industry was very different from the other. Every company had its distinctive culture and character, but all were units of large corporations with operations around the world. Paperback. Etat : Good. Can Multima Corporation withstand another attack from organized crime? While billionaire John George Mortimer copes with treatment for cancer, the accomplished CEO must also ward off challenges for control of his sprawling fictional American empire both from within the company and from nefarious powers operating outside the law. The Multima Scheme is a fast-paced account of the lengths to which organized crime can infiltrate large global corporations and seize control of respected businesses to conceal activities that are both illegal and immoral but generate billions. It's also a story of survival - how individuals and organizations might react under intense pressures and the ease with which people can cross lines between what's legal and what's not.
