Synopsis

The Moncton Fire Brigade was organized after a meeting of city council members, local merchant and railroad workers , in 1875. Volunteers were the men who fought the fires and a major change happened when WW 2 ended and the veterans coming home were offered jobs as full time firefighters. The volunteer force was disbanded in 2016 after over 140 years of service. The book deals with women in the fire service, firefighters who have suffered heart attacks and those who are coping with P.T.S.D. There are also chapters on Line of Duty deaths, Sports Wall of Flame, Firefighter family pictures, and much more.
