Peer Review

"...There can be no greater sign of a fantastic book for kids than one the kids let you know they want revisit over and over!

"No More Pets" is a delightfully well-written tale that does more than keep young minds occupied for a few minutes. It teaches children valuable lessons about keeping ones promises, and being accountable for one's actions, all in a very fun and witty manner.

The illustrations were also excellent, and as parents / grandparents / caregivers we all know that the success of any children's book hinges on the illustrations. No interesting pictures, no attention likely from the young reader.

I highly recommend "No More Pets" as an excellent book all parents and children can enjoy together, with relatable content that will educate and inform kids." ~Author, P.L. Stuart

À propos de l'auteur

Linda's journey as a writer began at a young age when a school librarian realized she had a fondness for books. The librarian encouraged her to read. Today reading still sparks her imagination and life always inspires Linda. The inspiration she received from her family, played a part in all of her children's picture books. As in No More Pets, which became her husband's tagline each time his girls tried to bring another pet into their home. Linda also had the privilege to learn the craft of storytelling from her mother. Quiet moments together gave her a precious opportunity to learn more about her mom's life as a young girl growing up, especially during the great depression. Linda's books are relevant and relatable to many. She writes books to entertain so a child will want to revisit her book, and encourage early readers to develop their reading skills with repetitive lines and rhyming verse. Linda and her husband share their home in Mid-Western Ontario Canada with one remaining pet, a well behaved and lovable tabby cat named Mickey.
