Synopsis

Each book in the Sight Reading Success series has been written by expert examiners to reflect the style of the revised ABRSM tests, helping your students to tackle the sight reading exam with confidence and poise.

Uniquely, each book is accompanied by a CD, providing guidance through each test and demonstrating how it should sound (Vocals by Kate Johnson and Piano by Harriet Power). These books are therefore ideal for independent use and study by students of all ages, as well as other pianists who desire to improve their ability at this fundamental skill.

Sight Reading Success takes the reader throughvarious fundamental concepts to sight-reading, such as more advanced fingering, compound time signatures, starting on an upbeat, more difficult keys and key signatures, while concluding the book with practice scores allowing you to play and practise what you've just learned. Not only this, but the accompanying CD lets you listen to how these should sound, so you can test yourself over again making sure you can get them exactly right.

Written by experienced examiners and teachers, Sight Reading Success accurately reflects the style of the revised ABRSM tests. This Grade 4 book will cover everything you will need to know for that exam, also giving you some really useful tips for most effective practise and what to expect in the exam itself.
