Tim Moloney KC of Doughty Street Chambers is one of the country's leading criminal barristers. He is ranked in Band 1 for Crime (London) in Chambers and Partners 2014 and has vast experience in the field. He is also a long standing contributor to Blackstone's Criminal Practice.

Steven Bird is the founder and director of Birds Solicitors, and is ranked as one of the top five criminal solicitors in London in Chambers & Partners 2014 (as he has been for several years). He has a long established reputation for heavyweight crime, including large drugs cases. He too has extensive writing experience having contributed to Police Station Advisers Index (Sweet & Maxwell), and The Criminal Cases Review Commission: Hope for the Innocent (Palgrave Macmillan) and Taylor on Criminal Appeals (OUP).
