Synopsis
Dorkius Maximus is a young boy growing up in ancient Rome. This hilarious diary recounts his exploits as, desperate to become a great Roman hero, Dorkius enlists the help of his father's friend, Stoutus, to teach him the noble art of fighting. But heroism doesn't come naturally to Dorkius. Plus, his dad doesn't listen to him, his friends pick on him, and his mum is more interested in her sacred chickens. Dorkius knows there's a mighty warrior inside him, just waiting to get out ...isn't there? Humorously illustrated by Andrew Pinder, this book will delight any child who would like to get a taste of life as an ancient geek.

À propos des auteurs
Tim Collins is originally from Manchester, but now lives near Oxford. He is the author of over thirty books including Wimpy Vampire, Cosmic Colin, Dorkius Maximus and Sherlock Bones. His books have been translated into over 30 languages and he has won awards in the UK and Germany, including the Manchester Fiction City award and the Lincolnshire Young People's Book Award.
Andrew Pinder lives in Mallorca and works as an illustrator, painter and muralist. He has had numerous one-man exhibitions in Mallorca and has work in various public and private collections. He has illustrated many children's books, in Catalan, Spanish and English. For Buster Books, Andrew has illustrated the Dorkius Maximus books and the 'Laugh-a-lot' joke book series, which has sold over 300,000 copies in the UK, as well as Dinosaur Doodles and other titles in Buster Books' bestselling Doodle series.
