Synopsis

Teachings from the life of Jacob from R.T. Kendall.

‘And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.’ (Rom. 8:28 AV)

Jacob’s life illustrates the truth of this verse. Despite the fact that God spoke to him at Bethel and wrestled with him at Peniel, Jacob had a weak faith. He doubted, he complained, he didn’t love his first wife, he failed as a parent.

In All’s Well That Ends Well, Kendall shows how Jacob’s story reveals a God who is faithful, loving and just, and how we can overcome our weaknesses and grow in our Christian faith. We also see Jacob’s family eventually restored to him and Jacob himself at peace: a wonderful example of how all our past folly can ‘work together for good’.
