Ian Spring is a Glasgow-born academic and writer living in Perthshire. His books include Phantom Village, the Myth of the New Glasgow (1990) and Hamish Henderson and Scottish Folk Song (2016). He is currently working on a cultural history of modern Scotland: Scotland Seen and Imagined.
