Martin has had a busy life. He worked for the Guinness Book of Records in his gap year, been a failed teacher, researcher for a live BBC Sound programme, magazine editor at school and a sports reporter for Varsity newspaper, and occasionally a revue performer. Latterly his life change led him to ordination then eventually vicar, hospital chaplain, spiritual accompanier, then a company director and ordinary family man. Some things he did well, some not so well.He lives in Yorkshire with his wife Sue, a passionate choral singer, and a dog, Pip, and cat, Phebe. They have four individual grown-up children and four special grandchildren nearby and enjoy walking, crosswords, travel, watching sport, reading, friends and gardening.
