Gemma Barder lives in Market Harborough, Leicestershire, and began her career in children's and pre-teen magazines before becoming a full-time freelance writer of activity books, treasuries, novels and storybooks for children. She writes a wide range of children's books for Sweet Cherry, including adaptations across the Easy Classics range.

Nick Moffatt has been a freelance illustrator for twenty years, working in film, television, advertising and animation, with a passion for storytelling and narratives. His recent Beat generation book cover designs were highly commended in the World Illustration Awards.
