Synopsis

A fun, exciting, and tongue-in-cheek project-based approach to using the core functions of OpenCV. It uses a style of software development that favors modularity and automation, so readers can easily retrain, reuse, and rebuild components from each project to handle another task.
If you want to learn practical, fun, and useful projects using OpenCV, this book is ideal for helping you to think creatively about the uses of computer vision, natural user interfaces, and ubiquitous computers (mobile computers, wearable computers, and in-car computers). You should already have experience with object-oriented languages, but experience with OpenCV is not required. A camera is required, and some projects require an Android device. Optionally, some projects may use the Raspberry Pi, head-mounted devices, or NFC smart tags.
