Synopsis

“It is quite one of the ‘signs of the times’ that the Godhead is becoming a subject of discussion; and the doctrines connected with the Trinity and the Virgin birth, are considered as open questions, not affecting the standing or faith of a Christian.” So wrote the author over 100 years ago. But if that was the case in his day, it is even more so today. However, there is another, more fundamental question, which lies beneath this. The real question is: How many of us really know the God whom we worship? Is it not the case with very many that it is “the unknown God”? The true knowledge of God can be found only in the Bible and some of the highest revelation of Him is found in three of Paul’s later letters: Ephesians, Philippians and Colossians. However, as Christians become less familiar with the Bible there is a danger that the God they worship becomes the ‘god of their imagination’. This publication does much to get us back on track; back to the Bible and back to knowing God.
