John Bunyan (1628-1688) was an English writer and nonconformist Puritan preacher best remembered as the author of the Christian allegory The Pilgrim s Progress. In addition Bunyan wrote nearly sixty titles, including other allegorical works. These include 'The Life and Death of Mr Badman' (1680), 'Pilgrim's Progress Part II', 'The Holy War' and 'Grace Abounding to the Chief of Sinners', a spiritual autobiography.
