A Tail of Sammy Squirrel follows the mischievous Sammy's mission to get past the big dogs in the garden to reach the acorn tree.
Meanwhile in Rip the Beagle, the puppy is very bored. All of his brothers and sisters have disappeared! Will he be next? And where will he end up?

When Ron retired he attended a creative writing class with the object of producing children's stories. This resulted in 24 short tales of varying length. Although some copies were read or given to friends none were submitted for publication. They gathered dust for years until a new friend persuaded him to try and publish at least one.
