Paul Burton is a freelance consultant and expert in intelligent transport systems, in particular in traffic and traveller information. He has been the convenor of the standards groups ISO/TC204 Working Group 10 (Traveller Information) and CEN/TC278 WG4 (Traffic and Traveller Information) since 1996. Paul has been involved in several international-scale projects, as well as serving as a technical policy advisor for UK central government. Presently Paul is working with the European Commission on mobility integration.

Alan Stevens is a chartered engineer and fellow of the IET, and a visiting professor at the University of Southampton, UK. He was previously the research director of TRL UK with interests including connected and automated vehicles, human behaviour and evaluating the impacts of intelligent transport systems. He chaired ITS (UK) twice, serves on IET's Transport Policy Panel and Automotive and Road Transport Systems Professional Network, and is advisor to the IET Transportation book program.
